The project was born from the idea of creating a bottle that represented the "Sicilianness" of an oil, to be presented to gift shops, gourmet shops and Sicilian specialty shops both in Italy and abroad.
The idea of reproducing one of the most famous "symbols" of Sicily is to provide a handcrafted object combined with one of the Sicilian oils, to leave the consumer with a memory of this land and an object to keep even once the contents have run out.
The legend of the "Moor's head" dates back to the 11th century, when the Moors invaded Sicily and became part of the population, so much so that they blended perfectly with the Sicilian population. The history of this jar will be included on the bottle label, also to provide the consumer with all the details of the origin of this jar which is found throughout Sicily.
The bottle is made of glass from a mold made from a drawing, on one side the drawing of a female face, on the other the drawing of the male face, it is made of dark or white painted glass, possibly decorated in some details (the mouth, the eyes, the necklace, etc.), to make different versions of the bottle for the retailer. The design of the bottle was deposited at the Catania Chamber of Commerce to guarantee the originality of the container.
The content is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil PGI Sicily, in the case of the dark glass colored packaging (BLACK) and Dop Monte ETNA in the satin white one.
Both products are part of the "PREMIUM" line by Frantoio Romano Vincenzo for this package which will be offered to specialized shops, Duty Free, fine dining shops, restaurants, department stores, food stores.
